The Indonesian Journal of Surgery (JIBI), formerly called Ropanasuri (Sanskrit, meaning the scalpel, introduced by Prof. Dr. Moenadjat Wiratmadja) is an official publication of the Association of Indonesian Surgical Specialists (IKABI), which was first published in 1968.

In subsequent developments (2001), in line with advances in the scientific field,  this journal is called the Indonesian Journal of Surgery and is accredited A based on the decision of the Directorate General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education (SK No.39 / DIKTI / Kep / 2004). Indonesian Journal of Surgery published by IKABI with eISSN number 2723-7494 is a publication of scientific work in the field of surgery covering epidemiology, clinical and basic knowledge regarding congenital abnormalities, trauma, infections, tumors, and degenerative disorders intended for surgeons in Indonesia.

This journal is published by IKABI twice a year in printed form which can be accessed and downloaded from this website. Subscription requests can be sent to the editorial secretariat address. The advertisements that can be published in this journal are only those related to the medical field, especially surgery and science.
